We all have stress. Stress causes pimples and no one likes pimples. Stress-caused-zits doesn't allow you to feel better, it actually causes more stress, which leads to more pimples! It's a never ending cycling!
If you're anything like me, you'll hate being bored. Sometimes I put more thing into my planner just because I can, but that does not mean it is all fine and dandy. Being a student, while working, having a social life, and trying to become better health wise can be a lot on someone's plate. I think a lot of us can relate to that.
Sometimes I stress eat. I feel better while eating, but afterward I feel like garbage, which definitely leads to a different kind of stress. Sometimes I just crawl under my blankets and hide from homework in the form of a nap. After waking up, I realize I still have a lot to do. All that stress is wasted energy.
Instead of trying to eat or sleep away stress, why not channel it into something more productive?
When you exercise, your body releases a chemical. This chemical is called endorphins. This chemical makes you feel good as it triggers a positive feeling within your body. It's actually commonly known as the "runner's high." However, you don't have to run in order to feel it, you just have to be active. The release of endorphins reduces you stress level because it eliminates the negative feeling of stress.
So the next time you are feeling stressed, kill two birds with one stone (that's a horrible saying), and go be active. Go run, go lift, go do yoga, go do ANYTHING to help reduce your stress level and get yourself into shape.
